yellowbird53 Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 I am having heating issues defined to my stock pump. It is causing a 2-3o rise in temp. what is a good alt I have a maxi 1200 already, and another would be too much? Advice? Also, what is the stock pump in the 12g? Link to comment

With my new tank on the way, I've been thinking about going with dual Hydor Flos, but I think 2 MJ1200s would create too much flow. I'm thinking about two MJ900s as an alternative. Do you like your flow with 2 MJ900s? What do you have for flow deflectors, and where are they mounted? Link to comment
NEVER SATISFIED REFFER Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 the 900 does 230gph, maxi's run cool and are best for wave makers. The heat prob really needs to be fixed useing fans. Since the nano is really sealed, no open canopy, I put a 10" fan behind mine, on a timer so it runs 12 thru the day while lights are on, keeps it a good 79. Hope you have artnonadishinin, thats hillbilly for aircondtioning. Without that nothing will help. Link to comment
