Vibrating Nano cube

Since I added a second pump inside my cube, not in th e filter,

the lid on my cube started making this buzzing sound.

So being the DYS that I am. I borrowed some foam with adhesive on one side from my kid's art cabinet,(it's black and about 1/8 inch thick bought from Michael's) cut six little strips and put them in the places where the lid was touching the tank.

Presto! no more buzzing, well, from the nano anyways....

Just wanted to share, for those who care.... ;)

nice, I have the same pblm from time to time, usually when i'm trying to watch a movie or something, and yeah, the lid is always the culprit. I've been thinking about trying what you suggest...I think I'll give it a shot...although, I think my issue is the entire hood, not just the lid. To stop the vibration, I have to shift the entire hood a bit...

Same problem - I used clear rubber bumpers I bought at a local ACO. I just put 2 of them near the front (one on each side) and it took care of the noise.

I think you should try to cure the problem, not the symptoms.

Your pump is still vibrating your tank and the inhabitants.

The pump may be touching the sides of the chambers, so you

might try to isolate the pump with sponge or foam to stop the problem.

Fish & even corals are very sensitive to vibrations & sounds,

since they carry much better through H2O than through air.
