Super novice
I am just wondering if anyone has an opinion on using a jet from a hottub (you know the kind that spin around) as the return from a fuge or if this is just a bad idea. I was thinking this would be a good way to get a flow that varies through the tank. Link to comment
DeskJockey
Ive seen a few people on the net use oscillating sprinkler heads for there returns. These would work great on a large SPS tank creating some serious wave action, but way too much for a nano. Link to comment
Dave ESPI
donno about that, BUT the bulkheads and jet nozel deflectors work GREAT as returns on tanks that are drilled through the back glass near the top. Link to comment
DeskJockey
I was just thinking about that....with a nice strong pump they would work pretty good. Ill have to try and remember this when I get my dream tank. Link to comment
Super novice
The thing I am concerned about is that alot of them do 600+GPH. The smallest I have found has a flow rate of 7 GPM which is like 420 GPH. I do not know if they will spin with less flow so it would than defeat the purpose, would it not???. Just looking for some input, has anyone actually tried or seen it done. If so on what size of tank? I am sure it would be great for a larger tank how about on a nano? Anyone's opinion is appreciated. Thanks for the help. Link to comment
