Auryn
for anyone who read my eunicid worm id thread. I finally got the little sucker out of there the other day i was just doing a basic water change caught this little sucker chewing on some corraline algea- which explains why corraline would never grow on or around that rock a little later it lunged out of its hole to try and take a swipe at my hand so i tried sucking it out of its hole with my airline tubing suction wasnt enough but he was peeved enough to come out and attack the tubing the mandibles on that things were massive scary- they streched out like the jaws of a snake and it bit on the tubing hard enough that I could feel it 8 inches up and when i tried to pull back i couldnt get it to let go- it was that strong that i had to yank it out spent an hour getting aggravated and aggravating the worm trying to get it out finally i gave up pulled the rock out of the tank got a syringe full of seltzer water squirted it right into its hole and out it came flying the other hand- i squirmed and jumped- didnt drop the rock put the rock back in- the clam was irate to say the least but i got him out he measured at just above 4 inches it survived almost 30hrs in freshwater and i think it only died cause the water evaporated when the temp got to 95o in the afternoon the next day that was it just wanted to share Link to comment
