chufa
I am having a little trouble. Ever since my Xenia started overgrowing my tank, my pH has dropped. Could this be a coincidence? pH now is 7.8. I have never tested for alkalinity before, since my pH was stable, and it is borderline low also. Any tips on how to raise pH/alk would be greatly appreciated. Also, is it possible that somehow xenia is acidifying the water? Link to comment

s800
I've just recently noticed this as well, but I correlated it with having to put a (mostly) full hood back on my Minibow after a JBJ death. Anyway, My PH dropped way down, but the other thing that's been going on is that my Xenia seems to be going thru an "expansion" phase right now- if there is such a thing. Anyway, I switched back to Kalk instead of B-ionic and my Ph is back at 8.4. R Link to comment
