gobygirl3
Please help! my little hifin and neon goby have a strange parasite on them.I hate to have to take them out of the tank, I have not had very good luck when putting fish in quarantine, they die on me.The parasites are like a small filament like thread, its white, with a small ball at the end.these things are very small, almost like a piece of ick on the end of a thread. They are attached to the cheek of my hifin and all over the body of the neon who is infested heavily. Link to comment
gobygirl3
update, since no one offered any advice I didnt make any decisions on what to do, since 3 days ago, all signs of these parasites have disapeared from the gobies, I only hope it doesnt mean the parasites have gone inside te fish Link to comment
willlgr1
chances are the parasites are still there, if you can get them out and do freshwater dips, 15-20 minutes. if you want to try meds kick-ick and malachite green have been used with sucess in reef tanks. Link to comment
