BustytheSnowMaam
My toadstool leather, which is usually one of the prettiest corals in my tank, always fully open with tentacles waving, has decided for the last 2 days to close up. It is not slumped over or anything, it otherwise looks healthy, it just refuses to extend. I've had it for about 7 months now and it always opens up. Any ideas? Thanks, Tasha Link to comment
Foogoo
They sometimes do that from time to time. If there's nothing like a hermit bothering it and your water params are fine you should just give it a couple days to return to normal. Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Hi, Thanks, I think it needed to shed its slime coat. I noticed the surface was very shiny in the light. Today it is opening a little bit, I think tomorrow it will be back to normal. Tasha Link to comment
reef10
I have one doing the same thing almost. It still extends polyps but only about half way. It has been this way for about a week and a half. I don't see any slime coat. When should the worrying begin? thanks Link to comment
