ekudl
I have a 20 Gl High Nano Tank that has been up for about 4 months. I have been considering setting up a small Refugium/Sump under my tank perhaps 5 or 10 Gl. I was wondering if 1) People even do this or is it considered a waste to set up a Refugium or Sump in such a small Nano Tank? and 2) If people do do this, then any ideas on how to set one up and what to use it for? Any DIY ideas or Info would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment

I'm pretty sure there's a guy on the board that has a 2.5 gallon with a refugium. It's definitely NOT a waste, but a benefit. I'm working on one now for my 10-gallon in hopes of controlling my freakin' algae outbreak (with macro algae). I've also got a 6-line wrasse that's eating all my 'pods, so I need the 'fuge to help rebuild the 'pod population. Do a search in the DIY section - you'll probably find some good ideas there.
