False Pers Temerature tolerances

I am hoping to get a more diffinitive answer, from someone in the know,as to what a false perc's temperature tolerances are...can a temp above...say 83f kill them? what about low end temps? as we get into summer, I am working on leveling the temp in my tank, so as to not cause them undo stress, or Buddah forgive, death. Any help, links, advice is greatly appreciated.
