miamixj Posted June 8, 2005 Share Posted June 8, 2005 OK, ordered a Rio 1400 and am going to put it in the 3rd chamber where the stock pump is now. Will it physically fit in there? The 1400 looks so much bigger than the stock one? Will it fit with the Rubber suction cup sled attatched or will it have to be modded some how to fit? If modded what is best wat to keep it from vibrating or moving around? I made a loc-line spraybar and am either going to use the stock nozzle or drill it out and put in a a bulkhead. Anyone do something similar that may have some pointers for me? I want to go with ONE larger pump and a spray bar rather multiple pumps. I also removed the Bio-balls and am thinking of converting chamber 2 into a refugium or leaving it open for a skimmer. For now I am using stock sponges in chamber 1, carbon and ceramic in chamber 2, Heater and pump in chamber 3. Link to comment
ashburn Posted June 8, 2005 Share Posted June 8, 2005 rio+ 1400 fits 1st, 2nd and 3rd chambers, as matter of fact u can fit as many as 3 in the 3rd chamber ditch the carbon and ceramic, use live rock and chempure Link to comment
