Sinistard Posted May 28, 2005 Share Posted May 28, 2005 Hitch hikers I saw this crab hanging out under a rock. He seems to stay there most of the time. Any idea if he is good or bad. From what I can see he is small the size of a peanut M&M, off white, one claw looks bigger then the other and I don't think he is hairy. His body shape is similar to my pom pom crab. If I feed the tank he will grab a piece of food but other then that he hides whenever something comes close. Just saw this urchin tonight, its very small overall smaller then an eraser and it's red and yellow. I just found this little guy a few weeks ago. It must have came in with my original LR and grown to this size, the body is maybe eraser sized. It hides in the same spot on the rocks. Is it safe to keep in the tank. From what I have found most Urchins are reef safe. Are these guys reef safe? Link to comment
Six Posted May 30, 2005 Share Posted May 30, 2005 The last one is a rock boring urchin. I got two as stowaways too. They got around golfball sized or so and are annoying. They knock my coral around in the 58 gallon tank. I would definitly not want one in a smaller aquarium. Feed it to a triggerfish! Link to comment
