aleiodubua
Ok, these things started off as 2, and now I have 5 of them on my live rock. Can someone tell me what they are, and what I should do with them? Please. Link to comment
aleiodubua
They're like little white tubes , which get greener as they go up. If that's not completely visible in the picture. They're only about a 1/4 inch long. Should I get rid of them, or are they ok to stay? Link to comment
lgreen
its up to you. if you keep it, just make sure it doesn't grow out of control. removing it now could help prevent that. Link to comment
aleiodubua
Well in 2 months, it's went up from 2 to 5, if they're not going to hurt anything I'll just leave them be, and prune when needed. Just wanted to make sure they weren't going to cause any problems. Thanks for the info Igreen. Seems like you're the only one who every answers my questions. Link to comment

winniebagel
Looks to be the macro Neomeris annulata. Pretty harmless, calcareous algae (almost like Halimeda macroalgae). It'll be okay to leave in, if you enjoy the look and the nutrient export. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/maralgid5.htm (look halfway down the page for picture) http://www.oc-creative.com/reef/forum/foru...sp?TID=622&PN=1 (here's a dude with a couple of 'em in his tank. Kinda small pictures though). Link to comment
