Guru_Del Posted November 20, 2002 Share Posted November 20, 2002 I agree they are pretty and If you have a larger tank, why not just get ready to move them in a month or so depending on eating and starting size. I have seen alot of people with tangs that move them from their nano to their larger tank so It can be done but if you don't have a larger tank It is not recommended Link to comment
AZDesertRat Posted November 22, 2002 Share Posted November 22, 2002 I brought a blue tang home 12 years ago when he was about the size of my thumb nail. He stayed in my 20G reef for 6 years which was way too long since got huge quickly. I finally completely disassembled the tank to get him out and transfer him to my 90G FO. What a pain in the as* ! He is still doing great even though he is an old grandad but my advice is don't do it unless the tank is at least 90G or bigger. Link to comment
