whats this fuzzy thing growing in my mushrooms

the other day i noticed a small cylendrical white thing growing in my mushroom colony. Its got a fuzzy body and a spikey cone shapped top right next to it is a worm in a tube like a feather duster, i kinda think its nice to watch, but the white thing wories me. i've heard about bristle worms but have never seen one. should these critters be removed or what. thanks guys

a sponge maybe.

 

look in my newbie thread below for a pic of a bristle worm, i doubt it is a bristle worm though.

q-tip sponge also called pineapple sponge, search for that

Yup. Just a tiny, harmless sponge. Likes dark, out-of-the-way areas. (I generally only see them behind my fuge and in my skimmers.)
