cup coral or Pseudocorynactis

is this a cup coral or a Pseudocorynactis

 

 

 

not sure it looks like both... i have seen many pictures online.

 

also if it is a Pseudocorynactis should i get rid of them? I read that they will kill your shrimp and other inverts.

could be a pseudocorynactis....but any anemone has the ability to kill and eat a shrimp, invert, fish, etc.

they are not anemones. they are false anemones and more related to mushrooms, but yes it is a Pseudocorynactis, and from people local to me that have them, they say they do not bother anything. just leave them, but watch them to see what they do. i personally like them

thanks for posting jennie. i like them too...i just do not want them to eat any of my critters.
