Though... a tank with cyano may mean it has enough nutrients to have it survive a week or two. Probably not.

If the Dendronephthya spp. has any chance of survival, it's going to be with hefty feedings of DT's Phyto...I'd invest in some today.

You can easily stock a tank to look like that in a day, snap a pic and tout it as a working environment. ((COUGH... Amano... COUGH))LOL. There is no way that animal is thriving in pristine water conditions right out under direct lighting.

They actually have less of a survival rate when kept like that.

 

I'd guess that coral was in that tank for maybe a week, or less, when that pic was taken.

 

I guess I'm not willing to say they live when 99.9999% of people kill them.

Plus they are hella boring to keep, IMVHO.
