Metznreef Posted November 18, 2002 Share Posted November 18, 2002 it looks like some sort of fungal infection. you can treat it with something along the lines of penicilen (which is NOT reef safe so you must put him in a hospital tank). the fungus probably will not kill him but will leave him open to secondary bacterial infections which most likely will kill him. i'm not positive about the diagnosis so you may want to get some second opnions. Looks like it was trying to get rid of paracites and manahed to runn all the scales off its body in an area. Quarintine immed ! When you catch it, use some mecuricrome onthe wound to prevent secondary infections. add lots of slime coat enhancer and keep water temp at 84. IF it is a fungus, try Clout, or furnace.
