well i'm planning a frag growing setup, and the plans changed again. I have a free 29g with powerheads and all coming soon, so thats gonna be the new set up. Thing is, that only leaves me 18 inches of space on the 50g stand for a refugium.

 

So what should i use? I want something clear, so i can SEE in it, heh. any suggestions ?

 

Other thing is, lighting. I ONLY WANT 1 bulb! i am doing metal halide, of course.

 

Considered lighting:

175w mogul

250w mogul

250w DE.

 

I can't decide which to get. that's listed in cheapest to most expensive, btw. WIll i notice a lot more growth with the DE bulb? I want to grow a lotta zoos, xenia, ricordea, and some SPS after i feel like goin for that.

 

Um, so suggestions? comments? rants? wishes? good jokes?

250 W 65 K iwasaki. also add a NO actinic.

the ECOSYSTEMS AQUARIUM company just came out with a nice refugium that sits up over a sump tank. ya coud modify a support behind the tank to hold it like a shelf. Also make sure you put 3/4 inch plywood under the tank between the stand as it isnt exactly designed for that tank.
