winniebagel Posted May 14, 2005 Share Posted May 14, 2005 There's a couple of genera that use the common name of plate coral. If your coral has tiny, 1-1.5" tenticles, it's a Fungia sp. If it has longer, larger tentacles with knobbed tips, it's a Heliofungia actiniformis. Heliofungias kinda look like anemones when fully expanded from its base. Link to comment
doody Posted May 14, 2005 Author Share Posted May 14, 2005 wall as you can see it has tenicals but the coral itself is maybe only 3/4" diameter. So they're no where near the size you mention. So which is it? Plate or fungia Link to comment
