Are these bad?

I have several of these next to almost each of my coral. They look like a fish kamakazeed straight into the coral, or perhaps the tail end of a fish stuck in the coral. I'm talking about the white, translucent stubs sticking out.

 

I couldn't get a closer shot, but if you were to look at them really close up, they sort of look like small funnels with hairlike tenticles. they look like cones too.

I also have some of those. They have attached to my snails shell.

I believe they are a type of tunicate. I believe they shouldn't harm

ther coral. Just to be sure I think it best to get a second opinion.

actually they are a type of sponge. often called pineapple sponge or q-tip sponge. proper name is lucilla sp. (sp?) but using the common names i have given you should be able to find some info on them. they are harmless by the way :D
