They look like a fish kamakazeed straight into the coral, or perhaps the tail end of a fish stuck in the coral. I'm talking about the white, translucent stubs sticking out. I couldn't get a closer shot, but if you were to look at them really close up, they sort of look like small funnels with hairlike tenticles. they look like cones too. Link to comment
fishybusiness Posted May 12, 2005 Share Posted May 12, 2005 I also have some of those. They have attached to my snails shell. I believe they are a type of tunicate. I believe they shouldn't harm ther coral. Just to be sure I think it best to get a second opinion. Link to comment

(sp?) but using the common names i have given you should be able to find some info on them. they are harmless by the way Link to comment
