steelhealr
Hi...I was having good luck so far...not much except for diatoms and a small patch of bubble algae which I've pulled out once and seems controlled. Now..over the last few days, I've noticed a new growth: -located on the uppermost rock -pinkish/red under light, rust colored without light -has a slight filamentous quality -doesn't look slimily adherent to the rock as yet ph 8.0, nitrites, nitrates, ammonia 0 last test. I have a firefish, ocellaris and good sized cleanup crew. Stock 24G NC lights on 10-12 hours/day. I make my own RO/DI and use Oceanic salt. Religious weekly 10% water changes. Cyclopeeze once a day, barely 1/4 erasure head size. The pictures aren't the greatest but the first shows color without light and the second shows with light...one of the astrea's is near by and I'm hoping he'll eat it. If you squint I think you can see how it is slightly filamentous. I'm hoping that it is not cyanobacteria. Thanks for your help. SH Link to comment
