tomatoreef Posted November 15, 2002 Share Posted November 15, 2002 Hey i just moved my tomato clown from a 12g to a 25g(5g used for built in refugium) and i was wondering if i should get him a friend. Honestly i dont mind and would actually rather have just him but if another would make him happier then so be it. Hes very territorial and i think he likes all of his room. I also planned on buying a pacific blue tang so that my macro algae doesnt spread past the refug. Simplified: Should i get another tomato and should i make sure that theyre equal in size? newreefers Posted November 15, 2002 Share Posted November 15, 2002 If you get another tomato 1 of 2 things will happen - they will fight like crazy/ or they will get along. It really depends on the fish. If you get another, get a bigger one and re-arrange the tank rock, this will screw up any territories that are in place. This leads to less fighting. Also the tang - he will outgrow that tank in a couple of months. Tangs really shouldn't be kept in a smaller tank. Link to comment
