embryoguy
has anyone tried a rio 180 in place of there stock pump? just did it and it seems to give good flow. just curious to see if anyone has compared the two , to see which one gives better flow? i know alot use the minjet 606, and i added that to my 6 gallon nanocube with great flow. but had the rio 180 laying around so switched that to my 12gal. what other pumps are people putting in there nanocubes, 6/12/24? artarmon42
WAS using a Mini-jet 606 on my 12G. Just switched (this weekend) to AquaGlobe 300, and am more pleased than ever. Great flow (so I can use a T junction to blast water in 2 different directions), and generates even less heat than my 606 (I can tell because my daily highs are about 0.3 degrees lower since I put it in). artarmon42
Ironically, the best description of the pump is on nano-reef.com (dating back to a 2002 post). Here's the link: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...20&pagenumber=1 Reading it, towards the end we have some people complaining about long term viability. I can't speak to that, as I've had it less than a week, but so far it rocks! Link to comment
