planetg
Here's my tank readings Salinity: 1.024 PH: 8.0-8.5 Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate: untectable (Tetra Test Kit) KH: 9DKH (Sera Test Kit) Calcium: 580mg (Sera Test Kit) Is my calcium reading possible? Or should I use a diff test kit? Link to comment
Twins Guy
you might notice that if your KH were higher calium carbonate would precipitate but for the time being with slightly lowered carbonate hardness that much calcium may in fact be soluble. i'm not sure but i think that some calcium test kits falsely report some magnesium as calcium. you may check to see if your test accounts for magnesium or if there is some interference. hope that helps!
