possible algae? id please

Hi guys. Pretty cool looking and not causing any problems so far. I can't find anything on them. Right now the bigger ones are about 1.5" high. Oh yeah, I'm not talking about the bubble algae.

i've seen them before, and they are algae, from what i remember they aren't harmful, they just look "weird" is all.

 

if you don't like it, just rip them off... but if you think they're cool, it won't hurt to leave them there if i ever remember the name or stumble on an old thread i'll be sure to try and update you with it. good luck
