King_Martini Posted May 1, 2005 Share Posted May 1, 2005 Picked up the parts from Ace hardware in the PVC section. The plastic is black ABS and is reef safe from my research. Basically, I drilled a hole in the screw-in cap and epoxied the included micro jet PH nozzle (smaller black one). It screws into the next piece which is capped off with another piece (also epoxied). Eight holes are drilled into the end of the cap in a circle. My filter media is Kent carbon and filter floss, and a circle cut from a nylon media bag. This mixed with Kent Marine Pro Clear did a fabulous job polishing my tank water. Perhaps when it is time for me to change my filter media I will take more detailed photos (if people are interested).
