nanomilk
Hi guys, im trying to figure out whats the best option for setting up a fuge for the tank im setting up. Its an all glass tank, about 30cm x 30cm x 30cm. Would I be better off just sectioning off an area in the back, and putting my heater, chaeto and a powerhead back there. Or should I go with the AC500 approach? Link to comment
mushroom head
Heres my idea for a 10gallon: http://www.nano-reef.com/gallery/showphoto...&cat=500&page=1 U can make it bigger/smaller if u wanted. The holes are 1 inch. Install 1 inch bulk head in the holes. Buy (4) 1 inch PVC elbos and 2fett of 1 inch PVC.It should look something like this: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...light=refugiums but it will have different baffles. Link to comment
jaynboom
I sectioned off the back 2" of my ten, and made it a refugium. It works very well. It was cheap, and if an internal "joint" leaks, water never leaves the tank. Link to comment
jaynboom
Your aquarium works out to about 7 gallons before dividng it up. Post you email if you want a schematic of my improved (over my old) design. Link to comment
