Addicted to Nano-Reefs
I just recently set up a 5.5 aga and added 3.5 pounds of live rock and is cycling at the moment. I wanted to see what you all thought of my stocking idea. 1-Black goby, Yellow goby, or Citron goby. 2-Peppermint shrimp 5-6 Red legged or Blue legged Hermit Crabs. 1-Bumble Bee snail 1-Turbo snail Any starfish that can live in a 5.5 gallon? Any suggestions or ideas on tank stocking would really be appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment
lgreen
sounds pretty good. how about 1 peppermint shrimp and 2-3 hermits. maybe a formia star, but chance are pretty good it would starve unless you took really good care of it. Link to comment
imafishboy
hermits are worthless IMO watch out for the bumblebee snail. they'll attack and eat ur other snails. Link to comment
lgreen
yep yep yep!! agree on both. my hermits do absolutley nothing except harrass my corals...and poop everywhere. bumble bees have that probiscus which they can "stab" other snails with. just something to consider. An astrea, margarita, or cerith would do a good job too in addition to a turbo. Link to comment
Addicted to Nano-Reefs
I've had Hermits before and the only problem I noticed was that they killed snails and other hermits to get their shell, but the Hermits in my brothers 55 gallon saltwater tank are always roaming the bottom picking up food.
