FishFreak
I bought a candy cane coral and when I put it in my tank it started to let out a kind of slime. Is this bad? They haven't opened yet, about how long will it take to open? Link to comment
imafishboy
it should be open neway shrunk and deflated? it'll definitely expand up by the next 24 hours, just leave it alone till then.then start feeding it. don't know wht that slime is, shouldn't be a problem though. candys are pretty hardy. goodluck Link to comment
Prunfarm
imafishboy is correct. It'll open up. The slime is normal, they get stressed w/ the whole deal. Link to comment
FishFreak
I geuss it is shrunk. I have never seen one opened in person, so I can't compare size. Link to comment
penguinsix
It should be fine. Mine did that today when I took everything out to try and get rid of my cyano. Link to comment
shaggydoo541
Can't see the pic but I would just give it some time like others said. Transport can be stressful on any coral but with a little time it should adjust and be just like it was in the store. Good luck. Link to comment
oceangurl
Mine looked pretty much the same when I first got them. They just need time to adjust and they should start expanding. Link to comment
doncb
It'll open up. Just give it time. Here is what mine looks like open. It will shrink like the pic above too. Mine loves mysis shrimp a couple times a week. Puffs up like nobody's business after it eats. Link to comment
