Guest LudavicoTechnique
Would 2 x 20 watt PC lights be enough for a 10 gallon nano? I work in a warehouse and I can get them with the fixture and ballast for $5! So I think I will take them if they would be bright enough. Link to comment
Metznreef
yes that would be enough to keep softies an lps. you just want to make sure you get both daylight and actinic bulbs for it. Link to comment
MKramer
That would most certainly be enough for most soft corals and polyps. And even most LPS. It's probably a tad weak for SPS corals, though. Rules of thumbs, though. Each coral has its own needs, but 40W of light allows for a very good selection of coral species. Make sure you have both actinic and "daylight" bulbs, though. Actinics may be a little hard to find in a 20W. Link to comment
