Will adding that little of fresh distilled water kill the whole thing? Or should I grab some saltwater on monday from my lfs? Thanks... pics up soon! Link to comment
skilter Posted April 16, 2005 Share Posted April 16, 2005 i would add slowly the freshwater and have a hydrometer ready to test everytime u add freshwater, im not familiar w/ the 24 but, im sure on my 12 1" of water would throw off the salinity by a point or so. Link to comment
Chronicles Posted April 16, 2005 Share Posted April 16, 2005 I've always sat the distilled on top, started a sphyon with an airline tube that has a knot in it. This will make it slowly drip into the tank. Pouring fresh in will not kill your cycle, so I'd just pour it in as long as the SG is high enough. Link to comment
