coogarts
Here's a subject I didn't think about until recently. I What's the proper preparation for LR (and LS) when they will be used to cycle the tank? Is this article from liveaquaria.com accurate? http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/general...eral_pagesid=59 Link to comment
skilter
all i have ever used is a 20g. (1/4 of the way filled, depending on the sizeo of the rock) rubbermaid container and have the rock sit in it for a couple weeks... w/ a powerhead and depending on the rock and what i wanted it to do, maybe a soft light. the article seems ok, but it seems like they put more info than needed, steps that is. all you need to do is let nature run its course, all rock cured or not has die off thats just the way it goes. but uncured is what i use the rubbermaid container for and roughly 2 weeks is all it takes for the die off to end.
