nutski81 Posted April 13, 2005 Share Posted April 13, 2005 I'VE HAD MY SHORT TENTICAL PLATE CORAL FOR 2 MONTHS NOW. RECENTLY IT IS HAS BEEN LOOSING IT'S COLOR AND BARLEY OPENS ANY MORE. MY WATER PRAMS ARE GOOD AND EVERY THING IN THE TANK IS DOING FINE. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I HAVE A 24G DX NANO CUBE. Link to comment

sir winston mulligan Posted April 15, 2005 Share Posted April 15, 2005 i checked out your gallery and part of the problem is that your plate coral is on the rockwork and needs to be placed on the sandbed..try that and let us know how it goes...good luck =) Link to comment
Kogut Posted April 15, 2005 Share Posted April 15, 2005 I 2nd that! Put all plate corals in the sand. They require the sand for their food supply and healthy growth. It should pull right out of its slump if you just find it a nice sandy area and keep up feeding. You can really feed them whatever they'll take. Typically, silversides (little frozen fish) are what people use. They're pigs, though and will eat most anything. Good luck and I hope he pulls through. Link to comment
