fishfanv Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 was in my lfs the other day & saw this fish. it was listed as a batfish. has anyone heard much about these? sorry for the blurry quality - it was taken on my camera phone. don't worry - not planning on getting him for my 12, just thought it was very interesting looking fish. Saltwater Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 They are beautiful fish but need such a large tank. They not only need swimming room but they need a tall tank. They really dont belong in a reef tank because they like to pick and can be hard to feed. I did check out one of these to put in my 300g but I think they do better in a 450g +. DerKomet Posted April 13, 2005 Share Posted April 13, 2005 I had one of those a few years ago in a 110 gallon FOWLR tank, very nice fish. Much easier to keep than their cousins the Pinnate Batfish. I've not had any experience with the tiera bats, but I've heard they can be picky as well. Link to comment
