ProFlatlander15
i just bought a pink sun coral yesterday, with about 30 or so polyps. this morning when i checked my tank, it had a kind of like' gel' or mucus covering the whole coral. i squirted it off with a syringe, but any ideas what that may have been? cornstar
PINK? I have never seen a pink one before 8). The mucus is present after the polys retract, i notice it if i touch it. Not sure its exact function, but i would guess it aids it the catching of food. Link to comment
ProFlatlander15
yea, its kinda gone today, the polyps were open a little more than yesterday. yep, its pink. well, the outer skeleton and mouth, not the tentacles or anything. its probably dyed or something but it sure does look cool!
