supernip
my cleaner shrimp has a tumor looking thing on his side... I was wondering if anyone knew what it is and whether or not it's dangerous to it or us?? it's round and looks a little cloudy. Link to comment
spoondigity
It may be a temporary problem with its carapace. Has it shed since you noticed the problem? I have seen what I would guess is the same thing in the past and it will be gone after one or two molts. Link to comment
reefdamsel
My cleaner shrimp had the same thing. The growth got bigger and bigger, and I couldn't tell if it was a parasite or a tumor. But the other day, it died after molting (I didn't see it happen). The tumor had disappeared from its corpse, leaving a big hole in the side of its body...I don't know if there's some kind of scary alien parasite swimming around my tank now or not... Any info would be appreciated. Link to comment

I guess I do have a scary alien in my tank. I don't know much about inserting links, so it may not work. the article is by ron shimek, entitled "pills, parasites, and predators; isopods in the reef aquarium." Link to comment
