theANEMONEA
Can you overdose on calcium? my level for the past 2 months or so has been at like 600 ppm. Link to comment
bobioden
What test kit are you testing it with? What salt are you using? What are you dosing? What is your ALK and Mg? How old is your tank? You didn't really supply any info. Bob Link to comment
BKtomodachi
But yeah, its generally possible to do so. Link to comment
Tomaso_Pantera
yep. When the water collum reaches its calcium saturation point the unabsorbed calcium will form a snow like flake and cloud your aquarium. Link to comment
theANEMONEA
bobioden- if it was a specific question i would've provided more info Link to comment
imareefer
i belive that the over dose would be like tomaso said, whats called a calcium carbonate snowstorm and if so, they only way to rid of it is with water changes to dilute the calcium level. Link to comment
onthefly
Yup....more importantly, probably what bobioden was eluding to, Calcium levels that high will drive you Alk down to nothing.....so, although there's plenty of Ca, there is hardly any carbonate and that's bad also. But to answer your Q.....YES! Link to comment
