(what ever their best rock is called) and nothing but alge grew off of it. i like drmac and son and harbor aquatics rock also walt smith is really good. i belive that drmac and harbor both get their rock from walt smith. Pikelet Posted November 5, 2002 Share Posted November 5, 2002 I have also heard good things about Harbor Aquatics. I bought mine from Dr Mac's. I wasn't particularly impressed with it as I had a ton of algae growth over the last 10 months and nothing in the way of polyps or baby corals. The only plus I can think of for Dr Mac is the fact that I didn't get any bad hitchhikers on the rocks. No mantis shrimp or hairy crabs. That could be a huge plus for some people with Gulf rock.
