ClarkiiClown
Ok- I know they are not zoos. This is as far as the open. When I bought them I thought they were zoos that we closed. They are healthy as far as I can tell. I have had them a month with no ill signs. But what the heck are they?? Link to comment
ricky1414
The actually look like closed up zoos for me because of the shape of the mouth opening, it that's what it is. Link to comment
ClarkiiClown
They dont have the same internal structure as a zoo. I though they were but they also dont have any fringe. Link to comment
Burchoid
look like button polyps to me .... Link to comment
Kogut
Are they hard or soft? Almost looks like mini trupet coral... : Link to comment
ClarkiiClown
They arent sick. They have not changed in shape size or color. They are soft and will retract further if you poke them. All my corals are fine and my zoos are healthy. These just dont open more than this. Link to comment
Burchoid
I call deformed or stressed button polyps! Link to comment
reef hugger
I had some Protopalythoa that stayed like that for a long time. They never fully opened and it wasn't until I moved them to another tank that they did open. Link to comment
Prunfarm
I had the same thing joshnemily! They were closed for about a month and a half! I got worried about them, moved'em to my nano and still no opening. Still worried, I basted some food into their closed polyps, and w/in a week, they were open and begging for more. Clarkii, I would guess they are palys and recommend time as a remedy - they don't look unhealthy, just stubborn. Link to comment
BKtomodachi
I had some palys that never did open up... stayed like that for months until I gave up and threw them out! Link to comment
