Can I have a Rainsford's goby?

I think I could use one of these guys, because my pod population is out of control. They look like fleas on a neglected dog...one of the amphipods is about 1/2" long! I have a 5g hex tank, and the one fish was going to be a green clown; but would a Rainsford's work instead? Or is it too big?

Thanks!

well, rainsfordi gobies are herbivores (or maybe omnivores), but they mainly eat algae, not pods.

I would go with a green clown goby, as rainfordis are probably just a hair to big for a five, plus it may starve if there is not enough algae and other goodies for it to eat. they get to be like 2.5-3 inches when full grown.

I had one that wouldn't eat prepared foods and eventually starved. Also, mine didn't eat any algae, but seemed to pick at the algae looking for pods...
