Included in my live sand purchase was a snail That buried itself in the sand any came out at night. I checked to see if it was a conch but it looks different. The guy at my lfs was selling more of the same type snails and he labeled them as magic carpet snails. Has anyone ever heard of them? I cannot find any refence to them anywhere. bbb1080 Posted March 21, 2005 Share Posted March 21, 2005 i have one too. i bought it as a redbanded sandsifting snail. it has a huge foot thats red and a kinda tan color. mine has this snortkel like thing and thats basically all u see in the daytime. but its definitely not a nassarius snail. it does wonders for my sand bed though and only really bothers my jawfish, hes ####y most of the time though.
