I got a little chunk of bali green slimer pretty much for free today... do you think I can get it to come back? I'm guessing with time and care I can.

The previous owner had a rock shift which shoved this coral into the sand bed and tore it up pretty bad, I guess.

Is that a pod in the background?!! Is the frag really THAT small? lol

It still looks viable to me...

And that's the way a sandbed should look...;)

Cheers,

Its actually crushed coral... I was planning to make the switch to sand after I switched from my old 5 gal minibow, but when I set this ten up I had to do it quickly becuase of a leak... therefore no time for new substrate... now I'm just lazy really.

Fred- lol, no, thats one of my 2" detritus eating shrimp. They are just clear like pods... The live area is about 1/8-1/4" across.

Go for it! The piece looks like it has a lot of potential..

Concerning the sandbed/crushed coral.... The only time mine was completely clean was when I first started the tank.

I think you can definately save it. Slimmers have always performed very well for me. It will take a little time but with patience it will recover.
