reef hugger
It says they are Nassarius Obsoleta (ILynassarius Obsoleta). I can't tell for sure with that small pic that they used. Link to comment
jenniebutterfly
yeah thats why i was asking, kinda hard to say, but my sister in law was interested in them and i thought i would make sure. they don't look like the ones i have really, seem a bit wider Link to comment
inkto
I would guess Cerith..my lfs sells them $1 a pop. They lay eggs like mad and burrow in the sand, which is nice. although, they're too stubby, aren't they... ditto on the lousy picture. Link to comment
jenniebutterfly
i know right, she is going to get them, i will try to get better pics when she gets them so they can be better id'd. pic is not clear enough on the auction, and the price just does not sound right Link to comment
reef hugger
They are probably collected of the coast of NC, so they don't cost anything to the seller. Link to comment
icenine
Hey Jen.... did your sister in law get these yet? What did you think of them? Link to comment
jenniebutterfly
she ended up not getting them, worried about getting so many for her small tank Link to comment
tike
They are good for sifting the sand and eating scraps of food laying around but they do a poor (at best!) job of algae control. If you are looking for snails to control your algae, spend the extra money and get astrea, turbos, etc. Link to comment
BKtomodachi
Thats a scam... many people sell non-tropical snails to us hobbiests. Those will likely die as they were collected in NC. Link to comment
