Coralife VHO's

I am in the planning stages of setting up a 28 gal. bow front. I think I have finally decided to go with VHO lighting but with the 28 gal being 24 inches long I either have to build the hood larger, to accomodate the 24" bulbs with the endcaps, which I really don't want to do. Another option is to go with Coralive Spacesaver bulbs at 21.5" for 75 watts ea. I have used URI bulbs in the past and was happy with them but I have no experience with Coralife bulbs are they worth it?

i'd stay at the 24" and oversize the hood. glazer, dave, and others could custom-make a hood. i've gots to get one myself for my 15H. :

 

the 24" allows you more options imo and gives you complete lighting (i.e. lesser lit sides). i only trust uri's but i heard coralife's actinics are as good as the uri's. not sure about the others grades but they do have more choices per size tho.
