The Empiricyst
Note that I had just turned on the light when this shot was taken, so the zoos are just opening up. Yesterday I was out all day and my brother, whom is my lighting backup until I get timers, failed to turn on the light. So the tank did go a day without light, which I feel pretty bad about. But turning on the lights today, I noticed this formation on my zoos. No idea what it is. In person you can better see that the top is like a little flower cap that blows a stiff little bit in the water. Weird stuff and probably not good. Eggs of some sort? A rotting polyp? What is it?
