How long until it gets eaten??

I recently had a fish disappear from the tank - not on the floor or anywhere obvious I could find it. I searched the tank for nada. How long does it take when one dies until the hermits, other crabs, and snail devour it??? This was a 2 1/2 in raccoon butterfly (trying to deal with my majano invasion).

 

Tank is a well established 29G and there was no ammonia spike and the skimmer did not see any increased production.

how long would it take for a chocalate cake to be devoured by a family of 6 if it was hidden in their house?

 

Tough to answer since we don't know how many scavengers are in the tank, how difficult it will be for said scavengers to find the dead coon and how hard it will be for the scavengers to feast on it (can only one at a time get at it etc.)

Check your PH intakes, I had a fish dissapear on me and I found it in the PH intake. Also did it jump out?

Hi it is possible it jumped out too check all around the tank

 

if it died in the tank (depending on size of dead fish and size of

your scavangers)and how many scavengers it will be eaten
