I don't scrape the algae off the back of my tank. It's just too hard to do, in my opinion. Although ironically the back of my aquarium isn't as efficient at growing algae as my front :.

i never scrape it off my tank, well exept the front, i let all the coraline grow on the back and sides. started out because i couldnt scrape the sides but know i think it looks cool gives it a natural look, if natural is coraline encrusted aquarium walls..lol. dont know wether its benifical or not, but i dont see how it could hurt

algae probably gets more light in on the front panel from outside the tank. :) lawdoginc, i would leave the algae. it's there because you've got some nutrient it's eatin...but what do i know:D

leave the algae in the back. it is a pain the ass to get to and by leaving it there, hopefully it won't be as bad on the other three sides of the tank.
