lawdoginc
SHOULD I SCRAPE THE ALGAE OFF THE REAR GLASS OF MY AQUARIUM. IS THIS TYPE OF ALGAE BENEFICIAL OR DETRIMENTAL? Link to comment
printerdown01
I don't scrape the algae off the back of my tank. It's just too hard to do, in my opinion. Although ironically the back of my aquarium isn't as efficient at growing algae as my front :. Link to comment
SAILFIN
i never scrape it off my tank, well exept the front, i let all the coraline grow on the back and sides. started out because i couldnt scrape the sides but know i think it looks cool gives it a natural look, if natural is coraline encrusted aquarium walls..lol. dont know wether its benifical or not, but i dont see how it could hurt Link to comment
adinsxq
Originally posted by printerdown01 ironically the back of my aquarium isn't as efficient at growing algae as my front :. algae probably gets more light in on the front panel from outside the tank. lawdoginc, i would leave the algae. it's there because you've got some nutrient it's eatin...but what do i know:D Link to comment
Pikelet
Leave it. You'll be busy enough keeping coralline algae off front glass. Link to comment
Crakeur
leave the algae in the back. it is a pain the ass to get to and by leaving it there, hopefully it won't be as bad on the other three sides of the tank. Link to comment
