Plancton Posted February 23, 2005 Share Posted February 23, 2005 Do you normally feed your corals phytoplankton and that kind of filter feeding food while having the skimmer on?. Or you definetely have to turn it on?, in that case for how long? Link to comment

Most supplements are made to decrease water tension so a skimmer wont fractionate after the supplement is in the water. So "technically" it cant be skimmed out but its good to turn off the skimmer anyway. Link to comment
