aqua-marine epoxy?

Someone told me told me to use marine epoxy for my mixing unit. Which is a 30g barrel and a pvc vavle coming out of it. I applied the epoxy to seal around the pvc and then noticed it said not for use on aqauriums. Is this going to harm the water?

Not necessarily, but its difficult to tell for sure. Can you tell us what brand, product or model number, and where you bought it?

 

Many manufactures don't know if it's safe or not, so they add that as a disclaimer.

I got it at Lowes. It is made by Loctite-distrubetd by Henkel consumer adhesives. It's called Aquamarine Epoxy. Here is a picture.

When they say not for use on aqauriums, they may be talking about sealing glass tank corners where silicone is suppose to be used.

That's what I thought as well but I got a little freaked when I read it. I just wanted to be sure before I mixed any water.
