For the past three months I had a nice Red Banded Pistol Shrimp and Hi Fin Red Banded Goby pair coexisting nicely in my tank. A week ago the goby passed away and yesterday, I bought another goby of the same kind to replace him. A few minutes after the goby settled in the tank, it found the shrimp's hole and scooted in. I wake up this morning to find the goby dead. All the water parameters are fine so I have no idea what happened. Did the shrimp reject the goby and off him? Should I try with another one? Help will be much appreciated. Link to comment
supernip Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 I doubt its the shrimp. Ive seen them accept a multitude of gobies. SOmething else prolly killed it. Please give us the specifics of your tank. all parameters are fine doesn't say much. the usual specs, acclimation process, and other tank mates will help make a better assessment. Link to comment
